San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and Clear Partner to Help San Franciscans Meet New County Health Order

The SF Chamber of Commerce and CLEAR are offering local businesses a free and easy solution for patrons to provide proof of vaccine.

San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and CLEAR announced today a new partnership to bring free and easy vaccination verification to businesses across San Francisco. Beginning Friday, August 20, county rules will require businesses in high-contact indoor sectors, such as bars, restaurants, clubs, theaters and entertainment venues, as well as indoor gyms and other fitness establishments, to verify proof of vaccination from their patrons and employees.

As part of the partnership, CLEAR will offer its Health Pass vaccination verification solution to San Francisco Chamber of Commerce member businesses at a discounted rate. Health Pass by CLEAR is free for users and is nationally recognized as a safe way for consumers to prove vaccination status in an easy and privacy-preserving way. Using the CLEAR app, a user can enroll and link their vaccination credential on their mobile device. The one-time enrollment takes only a few minutes and can be done from the comfort of one’s home or while on the go.

“From the beginning of the pandemic, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce has led the way by listening to public health officials and taking action to help save lives,” Rodney Fong, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce CEO said. “Our partnership with CLEAR will help to keep customers and employees safe while keeping our businesses open.”

“At CLEAR, we are committed to helping people return to their daily lives more safely and securely,” said Catesby Perrin, Executive Vice President, Growth, CLEAR. “Health Pass allows users to effortlessly verify their vaccination status to gain access to the things they love citywide, and we are proud to partner with the San Francisco business community to provide safe, easy and secure solutions to their employees and customers.”

Free to use by the consumer, Health Pass has been used by more than 60 organizations across the country to create safer environments. Enrollees are in control and can trust that their data is protected.

“CLEAR is a trusted industry leader committed to getting us back to doing what we love. Together we’ve been able to unlock safe and convenient experiences for San Franciscans,” said Jason Pearl, San Francisco Giants Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer.
