A Message from Our CEO Rodney Fong

To the San Francisco Business Community,

To say 2020 has been a challenging year is certainly an understatement. Seven months after we began to shelter-in-place hundreds of beloved small businesses have permanently closed, entire industries have been decimated and we have seen the highest unemployment rates in recent history. One thing I know for sure is that San Francisco is a resilient City.

We will probably not know the final results of the Presidential election until several days from now. Whatever the outcome, this moment is still an opportunity. I have never been so proud to be a San Franciscan. San Franciscans are raising their voices for social justice and we have seen record-breaking voter turnout by those who want to make a difference. I have seen businesses creatively pivot their models to better serve their clients. Companies are finding innovative new ways to keep their employees and customers safe. When we come together, we can make a better San Francisco.

We need to build a better future and advocate for what is important to us all. Looking ahead, we need to prioritize our planet and ensure we all have clean air and water. We need to continue to advance equality in our society and ensure that we all have the opportunity to succeed. I know we all have a variety of emotions and concerns, but we will come out of this stronger – together.

Respectfully,

Rodney Fong
