Chamber partners heard from San Francisco District 2 Supervisor Mark Farrell Monday at the April Supes for Lunch. Supervisor Farrell discussed the growing tech economy, the city’s budget process, housing issues and measures likely to appear on the November ballot, including at least one, and possibly multiple, measures to increase the minimum wage. “It is my wish that there will only be one measure on minimum wage,” said Supervisor Farrell. “Hopefully a consensus can be reached through the Mayor’s Minimum Wage Task Force so the best option is put forward to voters.” The Chamber also supports the advancement of one consensus measure and is participating in the Mayor’s Minimum Wage Task Force along with other stakeholders. The next Supes for Lunch is May 21st with Supervisor Katy Tang. Read more and register.
