Adam ‘Smiley’ Poswolksy, bestselling author of The Quarter-Life Breakthrough and a renown speaker at Fortune 500 companies, conferences, colleges, career workshops, and more, spoke to the members of the Chamber’s SF Up program for young professionals. He said that more than half of Americans are disengaged with their jobs. He added that 50% of millennials would take a pay cut to find work that meets their values, and 90% of millennials want to use their skills for good.
He offered three pieces of advice on finding meaningful work:
1) Find believers.
2) Stop comparing yourself to others.
3) Start hustling to find work that is meaningful to you.
