SF Chamber Wraps Up Action-Packed #CityTripDC 2018

Meeting with Senator Dianne Feinstein

The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce’s delegation of business and civic leaders spent a busy two days in our nation’s capital for the annual CityTrip D.C. advocacy trip.

Our delegates were on Capitol Hill in the middle of a controversial omnibus bill vote and were able to hear from influential policymakers and elected officials on not only the vote but also the inside scoop on other issues facing the federal government.

Delegates also advocated for San Francisco’s priorities as a united group to our elected officials, including House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier, and Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. Key topics included the seawall resiliency project, transportation & infrastructure projects like high-speed rail, and the importance of investing in federal housing and homelessness assistance resources.

The SF Chamber’s CityTrips – which in 2018 include CityState Sacramento, City Hall Advocacy Day, and a special CityTrip Vancouver – are an opportunity for members to network and experience unparalleled civic access. This year’s delegation to D.C. included representatives from the Port of San Francisco, the Hotel Council of San Francisco, AT&T, Comcast, SF Travel, Visa, Delta Dental, and more.
