San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Congratulates Partner Companies as Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”

We’re thrilled that the following partner companies were recognized by Fortune Magazine as some of the best places to work in the United States:

Google, ranked No. 1: The tech giant celebrates its sixth year at No. 1 and recently bolstered its parental leave benefits., ranked No. 8: Cloud computing pioneer more than doubled its workforce in past three years via fun-laden events … and such referral rewards as two first-class round trip airline tickets to a destination of choice along with $5,000 in spending money.

Goldman Sachs, ranked No. 50: Since 1994 Goldman has awarded stock grants to 18,430 U.S. employees who had never previously been shareholders.

American Express, ranked No. 51: Employee networks flourish here, with 16 of them covering ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities and more. The largest network is The Women’s Interest Network (WIN) with 24 international chapters.

Whole Foods, ranked No. 55: Team Members at upscale grocery chain get 20% off on store purchases, and up to 30% if they are enrolled in a healthy lifestyles program which includes a voluntary biometric screening.

KPMG, ranked No. 63: Employees making a referral for a new hire at the accounting firm earn a bonus of up to $5,000. Last year 34 percent of new hires were referred by 468 employees, who received awards totaling $1,254,295.

Cisco, ranked No. 70: Cisco provides comprehensive onsite primary medical care for employees and their families in San Jose, California; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Bangalore, India. These award-winning centers also offer convenient telemedicine consultation with doctors using telehealth solutions.

PricewaterhouseCoopers, ranked No. 74: Giant audit and consulting firm promotes camaraderie through a variety of sports tournaments.

Hyatt Hotels (parent of Hyatt Regency), ranked No. 78: New employees are welcomed to the family by spending a night as a guest at their hotel.

Adobe Systems, ranked No. 90: Graphics software maker (Photoshop, Acrobat) gives staffers bonuses for patents and hosts them at an annual banquet. Over the past year, more than 350 patents were issued to over 450 Adobe employees.

Deloitte, ranked No. 97: Volunteerism is the byword at the nation’s biggest professional service firm. One day in June virtually the entire US operation takes the day off to volunteer in their communities.
