The San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED) focuses exclusively on helping businesses locate and expand in the Bay Area. The SFCED works collaboratively with community partner organizations, industry groups and the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (MOEWD) to pave the way for businesses to succeed in one of the most dynamic, innovative and technologically advanced cities in the world. As a department of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Foundation 501(c)(3), we are able to bring the strength, stature, and public policy expertise of the Chamber to our efforts. We provide a one-stop information and networking resource for businesses considering their strategy and location—delivering crucial relocation knowledge and links to professional and industry networks. We offer no charge, comprehensive confidential advice and fast-track access to help companies take advantage of government incentives, aiding them in navigating state and local regulations. Established in 2008, ChinaSF is an economic initiative of San Francisco in close partnership with the San Francisco Center for Economic Development. ChinaSF’s mission is job creation in San Francisco, accomplished through the recruitment and retention of companies in San Francisco and also inbound investment, at the same time helping San Francisco companies expand into the China market. Currently with offices in Beijing, Shanghai and San Francisco, ChinaSF is able to provide services to companies and investors. Read more.
SFAsia builds on the momentum of ChinaSF to tap opportunities in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea and India. Created as a nonprofit, public-private partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), SFAsia works to spur economic growth in the San Francisco Bay Area by paving the way for Asian companies to locate, invest and grow in the city. LatinSF is a dynamic new economic development initiative that will promote business and trade between San Francisco and the Latin American region. Created as a public-private partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), the goal of LatinSF is to create a welcoming environment for established Latin American companies to expand and startups to locate in San Francisco.
