The Chamber led a successful advocacy trip to Sacramento last week focused on key priorities in the state budget and policies impacting water, transportation and jobs in San Francisco and the Bay Area. The delegation of over twenty participants included representatives of San Francisco’s small and large businesses sectors, Mayor’s office, SFO and Port staff, the travel and hospitality industries and many others. Meetings were held with state lawmakers, including Assemblymembers Tom Ammiano and Phil Ting, as well as agency heads including Secretary David Lanier of the Labor and Workforce Development Agency, and members of Governor Brown’s staff to discuss matters of critical importance to the economic viability of San Francisco and the region.
