San Francisco Center for Economic Development

The San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED)
The San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED) focuses exclusively on helping businesses locate and expand in the Bay Area. The SFCED works collaboratively with community partner organizations, industry groups and the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (MOEWD) to pave the way for businesses to succeed in one of the most dynamic, innovative and technologically advanced cities in the world. As a department of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Foundation 501(c)(3), we are able to bring the strength, stature, and public policy expertise of the Chamber to our efforts. We provide a one-stop information and networking resource for businesses considering their strategy and location—delivering crucial relocation knowledge and links to professional and industry networks. We offer no charge, comprehensive confidential advice and fast-track access to help companies take advantage of government incentives, aiding them in navigating state and local regulations. China SF

ChinaSF
Established in 2008, ChinaSF is an economic initiative of San Francisco in close partnership with the San Francisco Center for Economic Development. ChinaSF’s mission is job creation in San Francisco, accomplished through the recruitment and retention of companies in San Francisco and also inbound investment, at the same time helping San Francisco companies expand into the China market. Currently with offices in Beijing, Shanghai and San Francisco, ChinaSF is able to provide services to companies and investors. Read more.

SFAsia
SFAsia builds on the momentum of ChinaSF to tap opportunities in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea and India. Created as a nonprofit, public-private partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), SFAsia works to spur economic growth in the San Francisco Bay Area by paving the way for Asian companies to locate, invest and grow in the city. SFAsia also serves as a bilateral bridge for San Francisco-based companies looking to expand in Asia. Read more.

LatinSF
LatinSF is a dynamic new economic development initiative that will promote business and trade between San Francisco and the Latin American region. Created as a public-private partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), the goal of LatinSF is to create a welcoming environment for established Latin American companies to expand and startups to locate in San Francisco. LatinSF will also support San Francisco-based companies that are seeking to expand their businesses south. Read more.

Leadership San Francisco

Leadership San Francisco (LSF)
LSF is dedicated to educating and developing future community leaders. Its 10-month signature program – Leadership SF – provides a unique opportunity for participants to increase their understanding of the complex social and economic issues facing San Francisco and learn how to respond to community concerns. CICE

Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE)
CICE is a national network of local chambers of commerce from across the country working to advance the clean energy economy. CICE provides businesses with access to clean energy information, best practices, energy experts, incentives, and opportunities to prosper in the clean energy space. Read more.

UniteSF
UniteSF is not a program. It is a convening entity designed to bring together a wide array of constituencies interested in a collaborated change in San Francisco’s approach to student’s preparation for college and the 21st century global economy and workplace. Read more.
