Summer is rapidly approaching, and that means Chamber partners are planning for jobs and internships for those out of school during this time. SF Summer Jobs+ is a city-wide summer program to help young adults (ages 16-24) find summer employment with a goal of providing 7,000 jobs and work opportunities in 2014. This initiative is a partnership between the City of San Francisco, United Way of the Bay Area, the Department of Children, Youth & Their Families, the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, the San Francisco Unified School District, youth-serving nonprofits and the San Francisco business community, including Chamber partners JP Morgan Chase, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Bank of America,Wells Fargo and Starbucks. Intrax, another Chamber partner, hosts cultural exchange programs for American companies looking to bring on international interns and will be seeking placement for students beginning this month.
