The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce applauds Governor Brown and the city’s state representatives for their leadership charting a new course for addressing the state’s critical housing shortage. Today Governor Brown took a significant step towards embracing a housing-first policy, coming to San Francisco to sign a robust package of 15 housing bills which we were proud to support. These bills will begin to address our affordable housing crisis by streamlining housing development and establishing a permanent source of funding for affordable housing. It’s essential we support our local workforce and families to ensure San Francisco remains affordable for those who live here, as well as the job creators that sustain the economy.
