How did SHN get its start in San Francisco?
For almost 40 years, SHN has been bringing theatrical productions direct from New York and London’s West End to San Francisco. Each year, more than 750,000 theater fans from across northern California walk through our doors at the SHN Orpheum and Golden Gate Theatres to experience live theatre, and we take pride in presenting pre-Broadway world premieres, original Broadway cast productions as well as current hits, fresh from Broadway.

What are some community outreach programs that SHN conducts?

Our community outreach encompasses our Mid-Market neighborhood, the city, as well as the entire 9-county Bay Area and even extends nationally through our Broadway partnerships. From cast visits and performances at St. Anthony’s Foundation and Hamilton Families to large-scale, fund-raising events with Champion Charities and UCSF, in addition to ticket donations to Bay Area schools, our goal is to make a difference by introducing the importance of live theater.

What opportunities do businesses have to partner with SHN?

With more than 750,000 theater-fans walking through our doors annually, we develop unique, multi-platform marketing partnership programs that not only drives your message front and center, but also connects your brand to the most popular live entertainment productions in Northern California. More importantly, we can create one-of-a-kind, in-person, live experiences for your colleagues and customers that will make a lasting impact.

What’s in store for SHN next season?

We have a full slate of Broadway productions on tap for 2018 including School of Rock with music by renowned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber; Tony Award®-winner for Best Musical Revival, The Color Purple; and WAITRESS, a musical brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team with music by 6-time GRAMMY nominee, Sara Bareilles. Plus, back by popular demand, The Book of Mormon, as well as that little show called HAMILTON, which will return to San Francisco in early 2019.
