Mayor Ed Lee introduced a consensus measure for the November ballot to raise San Francisco’s minimum wage to $15 per hour by July, 2018. Developed with input from the Chamber, labor and nonprofits, the proposal ensures that only one ballot measure on minimum wage will come before voters this November. “The Chamber recognizes minimum wage as one important factor in addressing affordability issues in our city,” said Chamber President & CEO Bob Linscheid. “We appreciate being part of the discussion and we are pleased that voters will only have to evaluate one proposal.” The Chamber Board of Directors will review the proposal before taking a formal position.
