Beyond Membership

For more than 160 years, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce has provided a forum for the city’s business community to connect, access resources and advance business and economic prosperity. Our chamber – like most others across the country – has offered these services primarily through membership in our organization.

But what happens when a business joins the Chamber is about much more than membership. Organizations that affiliate with us are motivated to succeed and to establish themselves in the city’s broader business community. As businesses engage with the Chamber, they become active participants in growing their own businesses, and in improving the city’s economic vitality and quality of life.

As we work together with our members to advance these mutual interests, the Chamber is changing our membership structure to better reflect our relationships. This week, we rolled out a series of new partnership packages designed to simplify membership and allow businesses to better customize their experience with the Chamber.

Rather than simply pay membership dues, partners will now invest in one of five or more flexible packages, which can be tailored based on their unique business goals. The Chamber will help ensure our partners get the maximum value from their investment by providing a customized roadmap to help each partner best select and utilize the many programs and resources we provide.

The Chamber is also proud to introduce our new website, SFChamber.com. Developed in partnership with leading San Francisco advertising, branding and marketing agency, Gumas, our new site leverages technology to enhance the connectivity of our partners and provide even more visibility for the diverse and innovative businesses of our city.

Partners can also use the new Chamber website to manage their memberships – via the Partner Portal – and take advantage of new opportunities to enhance their presence in our online business directory, promote a company event, post a special offer, take action on key legislative issues and much more.

San Francisco’s business community is one of the most vibrant and innovative in the world. The Chamber is honored to serve our local businesses and we hope you will visit us at SFChamber.com to learn more about how we are changing and how you can engage with us to keep your business and our city vibrant and prosperous for years to come.
