Business Development The goal of the Chamber's Small Business Advisory Council (SBAC)is to provide education, advocacy and business-development connections for small-business members of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Each year, Chamber surveys confirm that the Chamber's small-business members believe word-of- mouth and networking are the most effective ways of getting new business. Chamber membership delivers on both scores, particularly for small business. Chamber programs have been designed to serve the needs of business across diverse industries. Our programs are particularly valuable to Bay Area businesses who do not provide internal employee professional development. Some of the programs the Chamber offers for small businesses include: Ambassadors Club - a group of members who volunteer their time to help foster and promote the goals of the Chamber to our membership at large Business Alliance - a structured leads-exchange program Business After Hours - monthly networking mixers showcasing various member locations Business Success Series - workshop series designed to sharpen business skills Small Business Issues Forum - an informal, monthly meeting for small business owners to meet, share information and educate one another Small Business Programs - key expert information in the form of seminars, panel discussions and workshops for small to medium size businesses Women in Business Roundtable - speaker events and workshops for professional women For a complete list of Chamber programs and events, please visit Programs and Events or our online Calendar.
