SBAC The The Small Business Advisory Council (SBAC), first established in 2003, is chaired by David Becker, President and co-principal of Philippe Becker Design Inc., and Gwen Kaplan, owner of Ace Mailing. Since its inception the SBAC has been the voice of small business for the Chamber. The goal of the Chamber's Small Business Advisory Council is to provide education, advocacy and business-development connections for small-business members of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce has a long-standing reputation for advocating for small business, particularly when it comes to helping these companies make connections. The Office of Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce are pleased to present the District 5 Neighborhood Merchants Summit. The event, in conjunction with local businesses and neighborhood associations, will bring merchants in District 5 together with their supervisor and city officials and departments to discuss their specific concerns and issues. The Summit will take place at Yoshi’s at 1330 Fillmore Street on Thursday, February 28th from 8 to 10:30 am. The program will begin with a presentation by Supervisor Mirkarimi and will go on to include presentations on the following topics:
Representatives from the San Francisco Police Department and other City departments and small business resource providers will be on hand to provide information and answer specific questions.
